I Didn't Wait till I felt Ready and Neither Should You
Let’s clear something up.
I didn’t wait until I felt ready.
I didn’t wait until it made perfect sense.
I didn’t wait until I had full clarity.
I didn’t wait until it felt safe.
Because if I did?
I’d still be sitting there.
Thinking about it.
The Lie About “Ready”
Most women are waiting to feel ready.
Like it’s a moment that just shows up.
Where everything clicks.
Everything makes sense.
And suddenly you just know what to do.
That moment doesn’t come.
What comes is:
hesitation
overthinking
"maybe later"
What It Actually Looked Like For Me
There were plenty of times I didn’t feel ready.
Walking into rooms where I had to prove myself.
Stepping into spaces where I didn’t quite fit yet.
Making moves that didn’t come with guarantees.
I didn’t feel confident.
I decided anyway.
The Difference
People think confidence comes first.
It doesn’t....movement comes first
Confidence shows up after you’ve already done the thing
you weren’t sure you could do.
Why You’re Still Waiting
You’re not waiting because you’re stuck.
You’re waiting because you’re trying to avoid discomfort.
Trying to avoid getting it wrong.
Trying to avoid what people might think.
Trying to avoid uncertainty.
But that’s the cost of moving.
There’s no version of this where you skip that part.
This Is The Shift
At some point, it stops being about:
“Do I feel ready?”
And starts being about:
“Am I willing to move anyway?”
That’s where everything changes.
Becky's Final Thoughts
You don’t need more time.
You don’t need more clarity.
You don’t need to feel more ready.
You need to decide.
Because nothing changes
until you do.
If you’ve been waiting to feel ready…. this is your sign to stop.
Inside The Watch Me Letters, I talk about what it actually looks like to move before you feel ready—and what happens when you do.
Not perfectly.
Just honestly.
You’re welcome in the room ⬇
